The Wiseman Bourbon Kentucky Straight is the first permanent release from Kentucky Owl under Master Blender John Rhea, known for blending high-quality bourbons to create approachable, flavourful expressions. This bourbon is a thoughtful blend of four different Kentucky straight bourbons – two aged around four years, one at about 5 years and another about 8 years – each contributing its own character to the final spirit. The result is a bourbon that marries tradition with smooth, rounded flavour, all matured in charred American oak barrels in line with Kentucky bourbon practice.
Nose: Sweet caramel greets the nose, followed by warming allspice, a hint of citrus zest and oak.
Palate: Smooth and slightly silky in texture, with flavours of rich caramel and warming spices. Allspice and subtle vanilla mingle with gentle oak influence as the liquid crosses the tongue.
Finish: A lingering finish where caramel warmth and lingering spice carry on to the close.
